Carbohydrate Transformation Bonding of Lignocellulosic Materials,

Abstract

A study has been carried out to assess whether sugars and/or starches can be used as binders for wood. It has been found that they can be transformed by heat and suitable catalysts to solids insoluble in water and this transformation can be used for bonding wood. (Author)
