Abstract
This paper discusses: Development of phenol formaldehyde based adhesives for bonding medium density overlays to veneers of Douglas-fir, lauan, meranti, and southern pine; Requirements for application of the adhesive to the overlays; Conditions for bonding the overlays to veneers; and Performance and testing of the adhesives.
