1982 US Army Materiel Development and Readiness Command (DARCOM) integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Study Finding on Contracting for ILS

Abstract

This paper gives a general overview of the objective, organization, and approach used by the 1982 DARCOM Integrated Logistics Support Study. The seven high payoff areas that the study concentrated on are listed but only the results of the solicitation documents study effort are discussed in detail. Each action item developed by the solicitation documents subgroup is discussed in detail to include a description of both the problem and recommended correction(s).
