A Video Bus for Weapon System Integration,

Abstract

This paper describes a generic video bus concept that is realizable within the current state of the technology. A video bus can be achieved with a small set of components, probably in a pair of hybrid packages. Such a system could be built in a fundamental building block, applicable to any new aircraft design (as well as virtually any network requiring multi-channel video). The growth of commercial cable television has made miniaturization possible, although there is still some development required to meet the MIL-STD-1760 20MHz requirement and a full military temperature range.
