The Use of Reciprocal Polar Co-Ordinates in Passive Tracking,

Abstract

The use of Reciprocal Polar co-ordinates to parameterise tracks is discussed. Their use makes the problem of determining the characteristics of tracks from bearings only data much less non-linear than the use of the more conventional Cartesian co-ordinates. (Author)
