Near Chapman-Jouget Detonations,

Abstract

The moving boundary problem that arises from a certain model of one-dimensional detonation waves is considered. Burgers equations for a function, f, have to be solved on the two sides of a discontinuity, at which f and the jump in iits derivative (corresponding to the exothermic reaction) are prescribed. The steady solution, a summary of its linear stability characteristics, and some preliminary numerical results are presented. (Author)
