Numerical Solution of the Neumann-Kelvin Problem and Its Application to Ship Wave-Resistance Computations,

Abstract

Numerical solution of the Neumann-Kelvin problem by the Green's function method is accomplished for the computations of ship wave-resistance. To make the load of computation reasonable, some numerical experimental results are introduced in the present analysis. A computer program based on such mathematical model and numerical simplification is developed. Two examples calculated for the Wigley model and Series 60 (C sub b = 0.6), show that the results are satisfactory. (Author)
