Application of an Inviscid-Viscous Interaction Method to Transonic Compressor Cascades,

Abstract

A recent ASME paper by the author described an inviscid-viscous interaction method to predict the blade-to-blade flow in axial compressors. This paper presents comparisons between the predictions from the method and experimental data from a number of transonic linear cascades. The cascades cover a wide range of duties, with inlet Mach numbers varying from 0.8 to 1.46 and flow deflections from 7 deg to 50 deg. Generally the predictions are in good agreement with the test data. (Author)
