Spatial Image Processing Masks from Frequency Domain Specifications,

Abstract

A method for obtaining a spatial convolution mask from a frequency-domain specification is discussed. This technique is motivated by the need in many applications to achieve processing speeds that cannot be met via Fourier transform formulations. The method is illustrated with synthetic and forward-looking infrared (FLIR) images. (Author)
