Methodological Issues in the Study of Air Force Organizational Structures,

Abstract

Two theoretical models are presented for the study of organizational structure. These models are described and used in pilot work in two functional areas at eight Air force installations. A method for collecting rich data which can be analyzed within each model is described. The theoretical and methodological frameworks allow researchers to look at vastly different structures and help standardize results. (Author)
