Effect of Moisture on Softwood Plywood, Particleboard and Composite Wood Panels,

Abstract

A review of literature is presented of the effect of moisture on dimensional and strength properties of three types of reconstituted wood structural panels. Moisture, affects dimensions and reduces strength properties of these panels. These changes may affect the performance of panels in use. There are several contradictory findings among researchers.
