A General Purpose Computer Architecture Investigation Facility,

Abstract

This paper discusses a set of hardware and software tools that have been integrated into a general purpose emulation facility. This facility is available across the United States via the ARPAnet. The tools allow users to produce an emulator using a high order programming language, execute the emulator via a remote interface to a Nanodata QMI and execute assembly language software on the emulator. Experiences with the development and use of the facility are discussed. Views on the extension of the facility's capabilities are also discussed. (Author)
