Advances in Strapdown Inertial Systems - Introduction and Overview,

Abstract

This Lecture Series is intended to present the significant advances in strapdown inertial system technology since the last Lecture Series (No. 95) in 1978 on the subject. Areas that will be addressed in the Lecture Series include advances in strapdown, instruments and computational algorithms and the applications to commercial aircraft, remotely piloted vehicles, flight controls, instrumentation, navigation problems in general. This introductory paper will give an overview of these lectures. (Author)
