The European Transonic Windtunnel ETW.
Abstract
A general description of the latest version of the proposed tunnel is given together with some details of its estimated performance. Some features of the tunnel have been revised following the first preliminary design proposals and these items are discussed. Results of an investigation into the expected future use of the channel are summarized. An aerodynamic circuit test-rig which has been constructed is briefly described along with some of the results, obtained. Further information on the pilot tunnel, which is nearing completion, is presented.
