Random Numbers from Small Calculators

Abstract

Random number generators are notoriously wasteful of digits; however, applying an augmented precision technique to a linear congruential generator enables one to produce on even a small calculator a set of pseudo-random numbers which contains a useful number of elements. This paper sets forth such a method.
