Multiple Organ System Trauma: The Regional Trauma Center Approach,

Abstract

This paper will review the modern concepts and systems approach to the management of multiple organ systems trauma. This type of trauma usually results from blunt impacts, such as those associated with vehicular accidents and with falls from great heights. This type of trauma has a higher mortality than that associated wth penetrating injuries.
