Models of Natural Intelligence in Fault Diagnosis Tasks: Implications for Training and Aiding of Maintenance Personnel,

Abstract

This article discusses natural intelligence as opposed to artificial intelligence. The author looks at human behavior and tries to present a summary of some work done attempting to understand human intelligence and abilities in problem solving. Particularly, he looks at human problem solving in diagnostic situations in both maintenance and operational environments.
