The Modification of Metallic Corrosion by Ion Implantation: Engineering Applications and Fundamentals Studies,

Abstract

Studies of ion implantation as a means of modifying the corrosion behavior of alloys should be backed up by fundamental studies which characterize the surface alloys formed. The polarization experiments performed in this work were designed to provide a description of the nature and kinetics of anodic and cathodic reactions which constitute corrosion.
