The Role of Clinical Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology,

Abstract

Clinical neuropsychology is developing into a professional specialty with training and credentialing criteria. This has implications for the roles clinical psychologists. It may no longer be responsible or ethical for the general clinical psychologist to practice neuropsychology. New roles are discussed. It is asserted that these roles clarify boundaries and result in a responsible interface between two professional specialties--clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology.
