Jet Engine Blade Repair at the Oklahoma Air Logistics Center, Propulsion Division,

Abstract

This report provides an introduction to the facilities and processes which are required to overhaul jet engine blades at the Oklahoma City ALC. In recent years, jet engine blade repair has become an increasingly important part of the overhaul requirements. Cost factors and availability of materials have resulted in repair processes being implemented to salvage blades which, in past years, would have been condemned.
