Hot Radome Boresight Error Measurements,

Abstract

A test facility has been developed which permits the convenient measurement of boresight errors on missile radomes heated to flight temperatures profiles with peak temperatures approaching 1400 deg F. Its key ingredients are an electric oven and radome conformal heat socks having independent thermostatically controlled zones to produce desired longitudinal radome temperature tapers, and infrared video equipment to remotely monitor and record radome surface temperatures.
