The Cockpit of the Year 2000: How Big a Step?
Abstract
The cockpit of the year 2000 will be dramatically different from those of current fighters. There will be a change both in the technologies utilized and the philisophy of how the pilot interacts with crew systems. The result will be a very natural and effective dialogue between the pilot and the vehicle. This symbiotic relationship will allow the pilot to communicate his intentions and the electronic crew member will carry out the details.
