A Moment Method Solution to Spiral Antenna Radiation,

Abstract

The method of moments provides a general approach for obtaining an approximate solution to the radiation pattern of a logarithmic spiral antenna. This solution is obtained via a knowledge of the current distribution induced on the antenna by feed excitation. Different methods for modelling a spiral antenna and its feed are discussed in this report, as well as a brief explanation of the implementation of the moment method.
