Interim Total Containment Test Fire Facility, Pantex Plant, Amarillo, Texas

Abstract

This report documents the results of a test program which consisted of a series of explosive tests within a confinement chamber called the Interim Total Containment Test Fire Facility. The chamber was designed for maximum explosive charge of 29 lb of TNT. The purpose and objective of the testing were to determine the effectiveness of the chamber to contain the blast loads and hazardous fragments generated by the largest HE charge expected to be fired within the chamber.
