Unsteady Flows. Fundamentals and Applications,

Abstract

An introductory overview about the fundamental equations describing the special features of unsteady flows is presented. Starting with the full Navier-Equations, different stages of reductions down to linear potential theory are evaluated, and their scope of validity is discussed. For viscous flows attention is given to the incompressible case whereas for inviscid flows compressibility has been retained.
