New Dynamic Testing Techniques and Related Results at FFA,

Abstract

With the advent of the JAS fighter project, a need for improved dynamic testing of wind tunnel models arose at The Aeronautical Research Institute of Sweden (FFA) both in the subsonic and transonic speed range. Some old rigs have been refurbished and some new ones have been developed. These are all briefly described and in some cases results from tests with different models including the Standard Dynamics Model are shown.
