Optimization of Pole Parameters for a REC Multipole Wiggler Magnet,

Abstract

A straightforward procedure is presented to optimized the pole parameters of a pure SmCo permanent magnet structure with four poles per period in such a way that the magnetic field on axis is maximized for a given volume of magnet material while perturbing influences of the multipole structure on the electron beam are minimized.
