Design Potential of Insertion Device Storage Rings,

Abstract

The design potential and limitations of storage rings optimized for high brilliance synchrotron radiation production are discussed. Specifically the performance expectations for insertion device radiation is emphasized. Also prospects for a spatially coherent radiation sources are evaluated.
