Experimental Results of Microwave Undulator,

Abstract

Experimental study of a microwave undulator which uses the transverse field of microwave has been performed successfully at the Photon Factory electron linac. When the S band microwave power of 300 kW was fed into the undulator cavity, the equivalent magnetic field of 0.45 kG has been obtained. The undulator radiation in the visible region was observed and its spectrum was measured.
