Crosstalk in Twisted Pair Circuits,
Abstract
This report reviews the derivation of expressions for the crosstalk coupling between circuits. Special attention is given the 1-percent worst power sum which determines the maximum transmission frequency, repeater spacing, and system size. Methods for approximating worst power sums are discussed and applied. Intersystem crosstalk limits the size of a digital facility. Crosstalk requirements should be presented in terms of the power sum crosstalk which is the fundamental limiting factor. (Author)
