Printed Dipole Radiating Elements for Monolithic Millimeter Wave Phased Arrays,
Abstract
Monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) are presently being developed for millimeter wave phased array radars and communications systems. Incorporating monolithic active circuitry into these arrays greatly increases system performance and cost effectiveness as well as overall flexibility and reliability. To achieve this system performance, radiating elements are needed which are efficient, exhibit broad band- and beamwidths, are lightweight, low in cost, and that are directly integratable with monolithic circuitry.
