Input Signal Shaping: K-Pulse,

Abstract

Classification of electromagnetic scatterers by selective mode annihilation is discussed. After providing a brief description of historical background, the conceptual basis of this methodology will be developed, followed by a theoretical explanation of the techniques that are employed. Some particular resonance annihilation schemes that have been implemented and tested, on a preliminary basis, are illustrated. Results from tests using synthetic signals, integral equation computations and experimental transient scattering measurements are featured. (Author)
