Spacecraft Electrical Power System Fault Detection/Diagnosis and Resource Management,

Abstract

The paper discusses the domain of Electrical Power Systems for Radar Spacecraft and its effect on the design of artificial intelligence-based systems for health monitoring and resource management. The paper presents work on Electrical Power Systems (EPS) Fault Handling and Resource Planning. The Fault Handling System relies on model-based reasoning techniques while the Resource Planning System relies on case-based reasoning techniques. The two systems perform their functions in a cooperative way and are distributed over both ground-based and space-based processing elements.
