Energy Dissipation in an elastic Material Containing a Mobile Phase Boundary Subjected to Concurrent Dynamic Pulses,

Abstract

We consider the energetic behavior of a phase boundary that is subjected to concurrent dynamic pulses, one from each side, in the event that the phase boundary motion is maximally dissipative. The total energy loss is contrasted to that which would occur if the two pulses were not concurrent.
