Abstract

This paper derives an expression for the optimum sampling allocation under the minimum variance criterion of the estimated attributable risk for case-control studies. Various optimal strategies are examined using alternative exposure-specific disease rates. Odd Ratio, Relative Risk and Attributable Risk.
