Spatial Soliton Propagation Through Periodically Modulated Layer in Nonlinear Medium,

Abstract

Here we present a theory which describes the propagation of self-focused channel (spatial solitons) in the media consisting from the two self-focusing nonlinear media and the periodically-modulated thin linear film separating this media. Recently it was shown that propagation of spatial solitons at an oblique angle of incidence to an interface between nonlinear Kerr-like media may be, represented as an equivalent particle moving in the effective potential.
