Synthetic Calcium-Binding Peptides Which Form Heterodimeric Two-Site Domains,

Abstract

The calcium-binding muscle protein troponin-C (TnC) contains four calcium-binding sites, each comprised of about 30 amino acids. In the absence of calcium, sites III and IV, located in the C-terminal domain of the protein, have little regular secondary structure.
