Synthesis and Biological Activity of Cyclopropane TRH Analogs,

Abstract

Thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH, pGlu-His-Pro-Nh2) is not only essential for maintaining thyrotropin (TSH) secretion, but also mediates diverse responses in the peripheral and central nervous systems. Proton and (13) C NMR studies of TRH have shown the His-Pro amide bond to be conformationally heterogeneous.
