D-Amino Acid Scan of Endothelin,

Abstract

Endothelin-1 (ET) belongs to a family of newly discovered peptides with potent vasoconstrictor properties, probably implicated in the pathophysiology of hypertension, renal failure, vasospasm and other disease states. Here we report a systematic approach based on single-point D-amino-acid substitution of the non-cysteinyl residues.
