Binding of a Coiled-Coil Protein to Planar Platelet Membranes by Fluorescence Microscopy,

Abstract

Substrate-supported planar membranes are formed by depositing isolated platelet plasma membrane fragments on fused quartz surfaces. Binding of fluorescein-labeled fibrinogen (F-fibrinogen) to these membranes has been measured by total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy.
