Conditional Sampling Techniques for LDV Data Processing,

Abstract

A data processing scheme is proposed for the determination of conditional average corresponding to the turbulent and the non-turbulent zones of a flow using data obtained from LDV measurements. It has been shown that the maintenance velocity data from LDV measurements can be used for the determination of these averages, despite the nonuniformity and the presence of noise. Results obtained by applying this scheme for an axisymmetric jet compare well with those obtained by other methods. (Author)
