The Dual Spectrum Approach: Better Validation for PDA Signal Processing,

Abstract

An alternative method for determining the frequency and phase shift for a pair of Doppler bursts is described. The dual spectrum approach has the advantage that each burst is evaluated on an entirely separate basis, allowing the measurement system to reject events composed of bursts that are inconsistent with each other in either frequency or signal to noise ratio. Possibilities for greater modularity of signal processing equipment using this approach are identified. (Author)
