Influence of the Optical Setup Configuration on the Characteristics of the Visibility to Size Relationship in a Dual-Beam Laser Velocimeter,

Abstract

A method is presented for computing signal properties as a function of particle size in a dual beam laser Doppler velocimeter by using either geometrical optics or Mie theory, and visibility curves are systemically derived for different optical configurations. A simplified model of Doppler signal generation parameters on visibility curves may be physically explained. (Author)
