Investigation of Flow Phenomena in Multistage Pumps,

Abstract

An industrial testing simulating the middle stage of a multistage pump was designed and adapted for Laser anemometry. LDA measurements were compared with numerical simulations with good agreement. The experimental study of the unsteady interaction between impeller and diffuser will lead to a better understanding of flow phenomena. With the numerical and experimental study, better design for multistage pumps might be possible. (Author)
