Phase Average of the Velocity Field in the Near Wake of a Blunt Based Cylinder,

Abstract

Laser Doppler Anemometry and Hot Wire Anemometry are used in order to perform the phase average of the velocity field in the near wake of a blunt based cylinder. The wind tunnel experiments are conducted in a Reynolds number range from 20000 to 50000 based on the width of the model. The experimental technique is described and both the mean and the phase average properties are presented. (Author)
