Laser-Doppler Measurements in Quasiperiodic Flows,

Abstract

The paper summarizes results of instationary flow measurements in the separated region and near wake of a vertical flat plate model. Measurements were performed with the phase-locked LDA technique. These studies deliver an insight into the physical mechanisms of vortex shedding and the production of drag in flows past bodies with interacting large scale vortices. (Author)
