Burst Digital Correlator for Wide-Band and Low SNR LDV Measurements,

Abstract

This paper describes the development and performance of the Burst Digital Correlator (BDC), which can measure the flow velocity of a low SNR, wide-band, high data rate. The performance was evaluated for the wide-band oscillating recirculating flow and near-wall flow. The measured results show that the BDC can process the signals of a bandwidth of 5 to 100 MHz, with a data rate over 86 KHz to an accuracy of less than 0.1%. (Author)
