Visualization of Organized Structures in Compressible Turbulent Flow by Holographic Interferometry,

Abstract

Rapid-double pulse, diffuse-illumination interferometry has been used to study the organized structures in a turbulent boundary layer over a flat surface and in the near wake of a circular cylinder in high speed compressible flows, Results from the preliminary analysis of the interferometric images are presented.
