Photoelectret Properties and High-Field Polarization in Chalcogenide Glasses and Thin Films

Abstract

The paper is dedicated to the 90th anniversary from the birth of my father, the late Prof. Razum Andreichin. It is dedicated also to the 2O% commemoration from the death of the Academician Georgy Nadjakov, the discoverer of the photelectret state (PES). A short historical review on the invention of PES is followed by a brief presentation of the matter of the photoelectret state and the high field polarization. The most part of the results obtained from Prof. Andreichin and co-workers during investigations of PES in chalcogenide glasses, mainly As2S3 and As2S3-based ones, is summarized.
