Visible Light Emission From Cd sub 1-x Mn sub x S Nanocrystals

Abstract

The luminescence spectra of some Cd1%%Mn%S nanocrystals have been measured at room and liquid nitrogen temperature. The Mn2+ ions give rise to a broad emission band centered at about 580 um, between the emission bands of CdS host.
